Terms and Conditions

These terms apply when you use this website and when you order directly from The Cinnamon Estate. By placing an order you agree to them. If you buy through our Etsy shop instead, that purchase is also covered by Etsy's own terms.
Who we are
The Cinnamon Estate is a family-owned Australian business based in Parramatta, New South Wales. We grow and hand-roll true Ceylon cinnamon on our family estate and partner farms in Sri Lanka and ship it directly to you. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
Our products
We sell food products (cinnamon sticks, powder and cinnamon sugar) and pure essential oils. Being natural products, colour, thickness and aroma vary a little from batch to batch. Photographs are representative.
Essential oils are highly concentrated. Always dilute before skin contact, keep away from children and pets, and do not take internally unless a product is clearly labelled as food grade. Our oils are sold for aromatherapy, diffusing and similar uses and are not medicines. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
Prices and payment
Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). We are not currently registered for GST, so no GST is added. Prices may change from time to time. Payment on this website is handled securely by Stripe, which accepts cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayTo. We never see or store your full card details.
Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We may decline or cancel an order (for example if an item is out of stock or a price was shown in error), in which case we refund any payment in full. We aim to dispatch within a few business days.
Shipping and tracking
We ship our cinnamon sticks, powder and sugar worldwide from Sri Lanka and Australia. Postage is calculated at checkout by weight and destination.
Essential oils are posted within Australia only. We do not ship essential oils overseas. An order containing an essential oil can only be sent to an Australian address, and checkout will not accept any other destination for it.
Tracking is provided on orders over A$50. Orders of A$50 and under are sent as untracked mail, which keeps postage low. Because untracked mail cannot be traced, orders of A$50 and under are not covered by us if they are lost or delayed in transit. If a small order goes missing we will share our proof of postage, including courier lodgement photos, but untracked mail cannot be traced. You confirm you accept this with a tick box before you pay. If you would like tracking on a smaller order, contact us before ordering and we will arrange it for an additional postage charge. Once an order is paid we cannot change the postage on it, so please ask before you order.
Orders delivered outside Australia may be charged customs duties or import taxes at the border. These are not included in the amount you pay us and remain your responsibility. We are unable to calculate them in advance and cannot pay them on your behalf. This applies according to the delivery address rather than your country of residence, so an order sent as a gift to another country is treated the same way. You must confirm that you accept this before you can pay. Where a parcel is held at the border because such a charge is unpaid, our Refund and Returns Policy sets out what happens next.
Returns and refunds
Our full Refund and Returns Policy explains when a refund is available, including for genuine quality issues. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any product is limited to replacing it or refunding its purchase price. We are not liable for how products are used once they reach you, particularly essential oils, which you use at your own discretion and risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
